| Comments: |
Rattle River Trail was generally dry with some minor mud and some slippery rocks in places.
Kenduskeag Trail had some mud pits, particularly on the Shelburne Moriah side. Lots of bog bridging, but still some unbridged areas, as well as some trick bog bridges (failing or slippery at an angle). Nothing insurmountable.
Nice partly sunny morning, eventually clouding over. Made it out with just a few light sprinkles. Rain picked up later.
Foliage still fairly green, but some colors showing in a few areas.
Fairly quiet approach at this juncture (post-thru-hike-season), seeing only a handful of people on the Rattle River Trail and the ridge. |
