|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Not sure if this falls under maintenance but the mileage on the sign on the Brunel Trail (right across from the Owl’s Cliff spur sign) is inaccurate. Im pretty sure the 1.3 to the summit should be 0.8. |

Hank Williams had a great hike. He was leashed up when we thought we heard a bear huffing. Safety first. |

I hear all of the switch backs are on the Mt Tremont trail. There were some pretty steep pitches but they didn’t go on for too long. The trail bed was mostly soft and with pebbles and small sticks and tiny pinecones i was pretty happy i had my poles for descent. It was a little slippery with the small debris. The road walk was pleasant and flat. The gain was in the remaining 3.5 miles which includes the out and back to Owl’s Cliff. The trail really seemed to alternate between very steep and then a few flat-ish areas. Owl’s Cliff is a quick, easy spur. Tremont is really beautiful! |
