Good day for dogs...nice and cool. But also not alot of water up higher. |

13 mile loop. Glad I ascended Desolation because it was wet and slow going up...would have been way too slow descending. 7.5 hr loop with a liesurely pace.
Quite a few folks out and some coming up quite late but its a popular sunset/sunrise spot so that could be why. Saw no one on the notch trail and not much sign of usage. Beautiful hike thru the notch. Gray jays were out so bring some snacks...they gave me dirty looks after I offered them some apple. |
