Comments
Comments: It was a perfect day for this hike, blue skies and it's finally cooling down a bit. Was a quick hike up Pine Bend Brook to the ridgeline, where a herd path breaks off to the NW heading to Scaur. The path was easily followed right to the summit canister. Apparently this is a crowded peak as I was the second person/group to sign in at 9:30! Retraced my steps and hit North and Middle Tripyramid before dropping down Sabbaday Brook Trail to the hairpin. From the hairpin I took a bearing for the peak and headed straight up. This was steep, but the woods were open making it quite pleasant. I hit the ridge a little northwest of the high point and followed a herd path to the register and signed in. In order to avoid a road walk, I decided to drop down to the col between N Tripyrmid and the Fool and then followed the 3500' contour line to where it intersected with Pine Bend Brook Trail. Most of this was easy going through relatively open woods, with the exception of a couple of scrambly, side hill sections just before hitting the trail. All-in-all it made for a great loop.
