Arrived just before 9am and had to park on High St as the designated lot was full. We pulled fully off the road and others did the same. |

This route is a personal favorite! After Friday’s rain, the trails were damp in spots and some rocks were slippery, especially in the last 0.5 miles to the junction with Carriage Road. Just use caution and you’ll be fine. A couple of places of minor water and mud on Glencliff Trail, and some much bigger areas of mud on Carriage Road. We just walked right through it all with out boots, but others were being much more cautious.
Otherwise, not much to note here. A great day to be out and the clouds put on a show! We didn’t have 360 degree views all the time, but the clouds broke enough throughout our time above treeline to provide nice views. A busy day on the summit! |
