| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Large lot for several cars. About a dozen at 9am, full when we got out, but most were from a wedding that was taking place in a field near the suspension bridge. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Saco River bridged (low flow), all others (about 3 total) were dry river beds, one with a log bridge, two others would be rock hops if flowing. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in good condition. A couple of spots of erosion on Davis Path within a mile from trailhead, otherwise fine. Spur Trails in good shape. Some white blazes in parts, or small cairns to guide the way, or obvious footbed. Easy to follow. About 6-8 blowdowns throughout, all easy stepovers, but one at about 3 mi in from trailhead needed a little maneuvering to get over. One white birch widow-maker about 1.5 mi in from trailhead, looks stable for now though. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw a couple, one small pup on Crawford, another out on Stairs. Good trails for them, just watch some cliff/drop-offs on Crawford and Stairs. Bring water, streams were dry down low (except Saco), and nothing up high. |

| Bugs: |
Nothing buzzing, but I did get a black-flyish bite on my neck coming off Resolution, never saw it coming. |

| Comments: |
Beautiful day for this trio, trails were moist after the rain Friday but not wet. A couple of puddles here and there in shaded areas, and minor mud, but avoidable. Ledge sections were dry and grippy up Crawford, some wet patches going up Resolution. Saw about 8 people going up to Crawford, summit a bit busy, but quiet out to Stairs (saw one hiking down, two up top), saw a party of six coming off Resolution, had that one to ourselves, then just one hiker on his way out as we headed down. Gorgeous views from each peak. Stava put this at 11.15mi with 3532' of gain. I saw different numbers from different trip reports, so just throwing mine out there for +/- reference to other reports. |
