All three trails are in fine shape, although blazing could be touched up. The big news is the construction of new bridges/boardwalks on Little East Pond Trail in muddy/wet areas. The longest is about 90 ft. Also noted tools and materials staged for more work. |

A lovely and cool morning to do this loop. Trails were damp from recent rains, but mud was scattered and minor. East Pond is looking healthy, but Little East Pond was pretty dry and rocky. :(
A 7:40 a.m. start worked out perfectly as I didn't see anyone. When I returned to the trailhead, a group of about twenty kids and several adults were just heading out. Glad I avoided that. |
