Comments
Comments: Sporty little hike up to PATN.

Herd path starts off very obvious. The right hand turn about .25 in is also obvious, as there are sticks laid down to cut off the path you start on.

Hike up starts mellow, but quickly gains elevation (about 2000’ in 1.2 miles). Footing is good, mostly pine needles and dirt.

There are two big blowdowns that have paths established around them. Those would be the only parts of the hike I would consider “tricky”.

Great views out to the Sugarloafs, Presis, Hale, and Twins.

As far as “bushwhacks” I’ve done, I’d say this is slightly harder than Nancy, which is slightly harder than Fire Wardens Trail. In other words…not hard at all.

We were the 3rd group to sign in on the register since 8/10. Cool to see some familiar names in there.
