Water Crossing Notes: mostly dry everywhere except of small stream running down the trail from Cabot
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: That stream running down the trail between Cabot and the col to the Bulge seemed strange to see water! Trail probably needs to be relocated here and maybe this is a spring that could come in handy!

Comments
Comments: This is the quiet side of the Unknown Pond Trail and the most enjoyable-- we didn't see anyone until we hit the Ridge and only a few people the whole day! We reached the summit of the Horn by bushwhacking to open enough woods up its north ridge. Back on the trail we went over the Bulge and up to Cabot. Noticed the summit sign that used to me near the trail sign is no longer there (it was never on the summit), no signs on the highpoint. We didn't linger after tagging summit and headed back down the Kilkenny Trail all the way to the high of land and then we whacked to the highpoint of Unknown Pond Peak, signed register and admired the antler that guards it. Back on the trail where we had started that whack we jumped back into the woods and followed the ridge NW to the next bump. We enjoyed the view from the cliff. From there we whacked back down to the Unknown Pond Trail. Cutting the corner nicely a couple but we had to push through a couple of scratchy dead spruces but woods mostly open enough to enjoy. Not too hot and humid day but almost. Fun day.
