| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
It looks like an army has gone up Gorge Brook with hedge trimmers. The amount of limbing and pruning done is quite remarkable, however, the trail is now basically a sea of slippery nettle branches. You could likely land a cessna on a few spots now. Some AT Thru hiker wrote in marker on the rock at the Glencliff junction, 1800.1 in large letters. Good job! We all care! |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
There are several broken glass bottles around the summit, lots of glass shards for dogs paws. |

A MAGNIFICENT day in the forest was had. The fourth time was a charm to find the old Gorge Brook Slide trail (I am really good at finding the drainages that it is not in). Still very followable. Lots of cool old DOC blazes to find. Still enjoy finding new ways to get to the summit! Not much to report on this one aside from the slide. Early start for us, we lost count within the first mile of dropping off down back Gorge Brook at over seventy five people heading up. Lots of SOBO's out today. |
