Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: all small streams dry but a little water in the springs on the east side of the upper loop
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trialhead sign has fallen off tree. But giant Wenny-Baker Forest on Thompson Hill marks the trailhead too. A little brushing would help this trail a lot. We tossed a lot of sticks off the trial.

Comments: Wenny-Baker Forest on Thompson Hill

This is the town of Hillsboro's highpoint. After paddling Island Pond over in East Washington we drove around the backroads doing our best to drive past County Road and go through Center Hillsboro where they are having their 250th celebration, ice cream truck was there so we had to stop. County Road is just east of Loon Pond. Beautiful lolly pop loop hike with 700 vf of climbing over 2.3 miles according to my tracker anyway... Good glimpses of Monadnock and Lempster wind turbines at times. Summit has super giant rock cairn that is not to be missed, it is a short spur at the top. This is a SPNHF property.
