Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in great shape. Herd path was easy to find and mostly easy to follow.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Coop had a great time on the trail. Main trail seems to be easy for most dogs. Only issue on the herd path was one location where Coop needed assistance up and down a large rock since it was too high for most pups to jump. On the way up I didn't notice the multiple path options, and went to the left where we encountered the big rock / ledge. Coming down, I ended up on a trail that would have gone to the right (same problem of a large rock ledge that may be an issue for dogs).
Bugs
Bugs: None
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: N/A

Comments
Comments: Slightly wet rocks and roots due to recent rain fall, but mostly dry. Small patches of mud near the Osceola summit.

Goal for today was Middle Osceola for the TW72 list. Added Osceola for fun and views. Herd path was easy to locate and follow off the main trail at the first sharp left turn descending Osceola (step over downed spruce). There were a few side paths (we ended up going one way up and another down, but all came to the same main path). Took a while to locate the canister. Thanks to all who provided lots of info. I ended up wandering around and came up from a back side. Herd path to the canister is not that easy to locate, look for path in moss on left after small view ledge on right (this is also the widest location of path).

Great chatting with Libby on the final ascent to Osceola, and with Jason (I believe that was his name) about bagging Middle Osceola on the way down. Lots of folks out hiking Osceola, and few adding the East peak. But, Jason was the only other person I met working on his TW72, so it was particularly helpful to get more info on the other peaks on the list. And the suggestion of approaching the West peak from the other side was insightful for my future hike.
