Grades are easy to moderate on Garfield Trail. Water running down trail uphill from the flat rock (midway point) especially in the switchback sections of the trail in the higher elevations.
Some small loose rocks that could roll underfoot particularly on descent.
Great views from the open summit.
Lots of hikers out today including AT thru hikers, one day and multi day Pemi Loopers, campers, Garfield campsite caretaker, one woman completing the 48 on Mt Garfield, and many day hikers. |
