Upper section of Blueberry Ledge trail is strenuous. Hats off to the trail workers that put in all the steps. They seemed to go on forever. The rock scrambles were moist at times and the upper rock faces made you pay attention. One section had pairs of holes drilled in the rock face that must have held a ladder at one time. Thought they were finger holes at first until I realized no way. Look to the left and stay close to wall to get up and around. Lots of views but keep going up the trail until sign posts. Lots of rock to the left but high rock on the right side has the geo disk. Took Rollins Trail towards Mt Passaconaway. Upper areas were still wet and several muddy areas. Took the Dicey Mills trail back down to the trailhead. All trails in good shape except for the blowdown |
