Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: No issues at all. One hemlock and one birch stepover towards entering the ridge crest from the fire road. All trails, including the Spring spur (which now has a sign) are great. Mt. Cabot sign is still gone. Looks like someone stole the true summit pencil, as well. The "turn left" arrow is also still missing at the end of the fire road
Dog-Related Notes

Comments
Comments: A GOUDA day was had in the forest. Queso, this was the penultimate slice of cheese and close out August grid for me. Cheesey does it now, lets see if I can do some cheddar dad jokes in here than my last attempts. Hopefully you camembert them. I have been doing a lot of bushwhacking lately, so that might have made my memory like swiss cheese, but the footbed on this trail is mozzerhella good. If you heard a loud boom, it might have been me hitting Mach One in the notch. Cheddar now than ever, this trail could benefit from some slicing, shredding and cubing in the raspberry tunnel of doom down low. The spring spur has seen signicifant love and is looking sharp - way feta than it was before! It was flowing today (and much more than a trickle!). Whacked over to the view spot (Jeremy nukes it every time I call Patenaude's Perch.. ha ha) for some un-brie-lievable views. Muenster views are had from here - take my curd for it; you can see the Mahoosuc, Presidential and Carter-Moriah ranges, as well as the Pemigewasset Wilderness peaks in its entireity - among others. It's nacho fault if people tell you there are no views on Cabot, don't feel bleu, those people dont know jack. Ran into Honey_Badger and TM who were going over to Waumbek at the 'cottage', so I hiked with them a bit. It was nice to not be provolone for a bit for sure. You'd be havarti pressed to ask for a 'grate'-r day! Well, ricotta get going...
