Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Crossings on both Little River and Gale River were manageable. Saw the bypass for Little River and follow it for a bit. Ultimately decided to just go for the crossing because it reach a point where it was slightly indiscernible and possibly in bushwhacking territory.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is well blazed and signed.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Lots of doggos on this one and everyone single one was extraordinary well behaved. Heading up/down Twinway is a hard trail for both two legged and four legged beings. Just make sure you are paying attention to their experience and carry enough water for them on this stretch.
Bugs
Bugs: None today!!!

Comments
Comments: Finally made it to the Twins. Nice fallish weather and we were thankful for it- along the the rest of the crowd. After carspotting at Gale River TH we started up North Twin Trail. This is a steady uphill straight to North Twin look out which is just prior to the summit. Trails were damp throughout hike. North Twin Spur over to South Twin was a shockingly reason 1.5 Miles. Although we did find the long stretch of significant mud we were forewarned about. Loved the open and exposed summit of South Twin. Heading down Twinway can only be described as miserable. Over to Galehead was much of the same conditions on N.Twin, slightly damp trail. Hut was buzzing with people and had many great convos. Found out the Gal thru hiking the 48 is still on her journey- you rock lady!!! And apparently Guyot had 90 people at the tent sight- yikes. Another great day to be on trail.
