Comments
Comments: Early fall conditions on this loop. Cooler temps and the bugs vanished. Saw lots of folks out on Osceola on Friday and Tecumseh on Saturday. Virtually no mud to be seen. Herd path to West Osceola was easy to find and follow. No canister could be found on Middle Osceola, but there is one on West just through the trees above “Peggy’s Perch”. The view from here made the out and back on the herd path worth it. Camped on Tripoli Rd right across from the Tecumseh trailhead. A bit noisy as all campsites were occupied with large groups, but not unbearable. Better choice if you want some quiet are one of the two sites on the left about halfway to the Tecumseh trailhead from the Osceola trailhead. More annoying was that after dark people kept checking to see if my site was occupied because I had no car parked at it’s entrance. Descended Tecumseh via the ski trails. I had no problem avoiding the construction for the new ski lift, but this route is not recommended at this time without pants or some type of lower leg protection as the vegetation is currently knee-waist high. Herd paths down can be easy to find, but you’ll inevitably need to cut your own route at some point.
