Parked at dirt lot for Pine Link Tr on Dolly Copp/Pinkham B Rd, room for 6 cars, I was 6th car. Road in was potholed in spots but doable for any car. |

Not sure there were any, if so they were dry and would be easy stepovers when running. Looks more like overland runoff territory rather than anything channelized. |

Some areas of erosion on southern 0.25mi end of Ledge Tr, more strategic water bars may be helpful. Otherwise trails well-blazed and maintained with sturdy bog bridges in parts. |

No problem, even on Ledge Tr. Fine for dogs, but bring water, there is none to be found on trail. |

Such a short little hike with big impactful views. Got up to the ledges before the cloud deck rolled in, full views of Moriah, Carter Range (stunning view of Carter Notch), Wildcats and Washington and Madison big in the foreground. Cool glacial striations on ledges. Got to go out to 3 of 4 of the lookouts, there were some people at the one with the Adirondack shelter, we were not sure if they were with the Horton Center or not so we respected their space just in case, per guidance in WM Guide and 52 WAV guide for this time of year. No one down by Chapel Rock so we checked it out, very cool formation. Some woodland asters, bunchberry fruits, and some hobblebush berries along trails, otherwise green. Some hint of leaf color change high up on a couple trees....probably drought, but that time of year is approaching. I think most of the cars were hikers on Pine Link to Madison, didn't see many on Pine Mtn, same cars there upon return at noon. |
