Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Swift River Crossing was low. One could do some rock hopping, but I just walked across. No problems. The other two minor crossings were easy also. The Sawyer River Trail had many snowmobile bridges.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few step-overs on Sawyer River Trail, Sawyer Pond Trail to the Pond was in good shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Plenty of refreshments for pooch on this hike.
Bugs
Bugs: A few when I was finishing.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: One water bottle someone dropped at the parking area. Still there.

Comments
Comments: I did an out and back to Sawyer Pond from the Kanc. Trail was a flat super highway all the way to the bridge up to the Pond. The trail to the pond was uphill, but very gentle. The majority of the trail over to Sawyer Road is a snowmobile trail and fairly wide. Nice day overall with great views from the pond. One camper set up just after the crossing of the Swift. Another group set up at the end of Sawyer River Trail. Other campers using the tent platforms at the Pond. Saw a Huey (with a Red Cross) passing overhead several times today.
