Comments
Comments: Took the north branch of the abandoned Cascade Trail. Active logging road initially (hint: gate and no campfires sign), then a grassy road walk, then a right onto the old foot path. Don't expect to find a signed trail. That said, it's currently very easy to follow once on the trail proper. Trail was generally dry. Cascade was still flowing, though not much. 2.9 miles from Perch Pond Road to the summit of Morgan.

Crawford Ridgepole had some short but deep mud in a few places between the Cascade and Mt. Morgan junctions, as well as very slippery bog bridges. Scramble ledges after the cave on Morgan were dry. Some slippery ledge/rock on the trail proper.

Crawford Ridgepole south of Cascade was mostly dry with occasional slippery rock/ledge, as was Brooks Fisher.

Hot, hazy, humid morning, though the western side of the ridge was much cooler than elsewhere, and had a nice breeze. 81 degrees on Perch Pond Road late this morning when it was upper 80s in the Route 25 corridor. Plenty of people on the trails on Mt. Morgan, but only a couple of small groups (one hiking, one mountain biking) south of Morgan.
