Comments
Comments: After finding that all roads previously used, except Lost Nation, are now gated and posted, we pulled into a two track road next to a tree farm. We continued on foot on this road which soon entered the woods then crossed a logging landing. From here we followed a wide dirt road which brought us to Lost Nation Road. Here we turned left, continuing on dirt then grassy two track then a moose/people trail which brought us to a T-intersection with Golf Links Road. Here We, and Lost Nation, continued to the left on a much wider, grassy, less overgrown road. First we descended very slightly downhill then more moderately uphill where it flattened out as we approached another junction. Here, we again turned left and descended gradually to the point where we started our bushwhack. The growth along the road was fairly thick but we were able to enter the woods where a birch blowdown had created an opening. We then headed moderately uphill through fairly clear woods, crossed a shallow col with thick hobblebush, then up some more to the summit jar. We made our way back on a similar slightly steeper downhill back to the roads which we followed to dirt Lost Nation Road. This time we stayed on Lost Nation until turning left onto Diamond Pond Road and back to our car at the tree farm. This is a nice hike although the 90 temps and high humidity pretty much kicked my but although Italian was fineā€¦
