Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, July 30, 2022
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking on a Saturday around noontime? Yeah, my bad. Don't do that.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water is pretty low right now. Crossings are trivial. If your feet got wet unintentionally, you're doing it wrong.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of fairly significant blow-downs. Otherwise, the trails are in good shape overall. One bit of significant erosion on Mt Field, heading over to Willey. Be gentle. The mountains will thank you.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Several pups on the trails, having the time of their lives. Dogs out in their natural habitat, with their humans. All is well with the world.
Bugs
Bugs: Very tolerable due to significant breezes and even outright wind all the way down to the trail. Weather-wise, it was a weird day.

Comments
Comments: Nice outing, nailing down three more for my July grid. Clouds did indeed impair the views, but at the same time, I got to see things here and there. Low clouds and significant winds made the day seem more like autumn than the middle of summer. Modulate your expectations with the weather, and you always have at least a good time.

Photos and a more detailed write-up are on my blog as always.
