| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The Beaver Brook Trailhead lot was less than half full when we arrived at 10am, and even less full when we departed late in the day. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |

| Recommended Equipment: |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
All bridged or easy rock hopping. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
1. There's one blowdown on Beaver Brook Trail, betweeen the Beaver Brook Shelter and the junction with Asquam Ridge Trail.
2. Soon after the bridges at the beginning of the trail, there is a slightly confusing place where the trail seems to fork: the left branch is discouraged off by logs on the ground but it also seems to have some white blazes on trees, whereas we could not see any obvious marker on the (correct) right branch except that after walking a few steps along it one finds a hard-to-notice brown handwritten "Beaver Brook Trail" sign. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Beaver Brook Trail has some short sections consisting of wooden steps bolted to a very steep ledge; I'd think that dogs would need to be carried up those, and that might be tricky. Probably other trails to the summit are better for dogs. |
|
| Bugs: |
Plenty of bugs, but not many of the type that bite. Occasionally we saw a few mosquitos, such as at the trailhead in the early evening. I didn't even bother to put on my head net. |
