Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the lot at the south end of the Pond. We could have driven further on Pond of Safety Rd. to camp site on left where there was room for several vehicles. The Pond of Safety Rd. becomes very rough after 2 miles and a high clearance vehicle is an absolute necessity.

Comments
Comments: After parking the truck Barb and I walked the Pond of Safety Road north about half mile and then ducked into the woods, hoping to find woods road on the map, but no luck. We followed the ridge to the summit, signed in and de descended to the pond where we found fantastic views of Jefferson, Edmunds Col and Adams. This view should not be missed. We then followed several herd paths back to the road through a lush spruce forest. Back at the pond we put in my kayak and spent some time paddling around the pond.
