Comments: Beautiful day for a hike up Washington. Lucked out an got clear skies at the top.

Hit the Ammonoosuc early; the lot was filling up but still plenty of spots for it being a holiday weekend. My first time up this trail and I was not disappointed. The first half of the trail is a fairly easy grade and steepens up maybe about halfway up. Beautiful trail with a waterfall, and some beautiful water crossings. Made good time to Lake of the Clouds and took a little break and put on some sunscreen. Lots of people getting ready to hit mount Washington from the hut. I debated going up Monroe but decided against it this time.

Headed on up the Crawford Path toward Washington. I forgot how beautiful the Crawford Path is—been a couple years since I was last on it. Got to mount Washington early enough that the summit was quiet. It was chill out and the wind was whipping. Refilled my water, ate, and headed back down Gulfside which never disappoints. Met a lot of people heading up and was nice to chat with them. Jewell trail was good—still needs some blazes touched up, and looks like some people made their own cairns which threw me off a couple times. Still one of my favorite trails on Washington. Made it down in about 2.5 hours from the summit. Bugs were nonexistent but I think it was too cold for them on this day. Great loop and would recommend it.
