Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Our two had a blast and we met one more friendly one to play with
Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitos bad at Thompson Falls, otherwise not very notable….although there are sections in this part of the forest that are absolutely being stripped of leaves - it almost felt like early spring when the days are warm and no leaf out. Caterpillars on the trail and in the trees.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Didn’t find any treasure at the mineral site

Comments
Comments: We had a nice morning loop walk along the Moat Mineral Trail to Thompson Falls. Easy walking and quiet on our way out. Met a few folks at the mineral site and on the way in who were doing some searching for their collections. Notable were sections of defoliated forest (see bugs) - as we drove around Conway we could see the sections of the hillsides that are missing leaves. Really great morning out to see the falls!
