Parking/Access Road Notes: A few cars in the lot, but plenty of room

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes: Ellis River was lovely -easy to cross and warm! 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of blowdowns past the falls on the upper section of the trail (after .9 it seems to be a ski trail?) 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Our two loved playing in the river…we met two others and everyone sniffed and wagged happily 
Bugs
Bugs: Mostly okay -on the return the mosquitos returned so we hustled out 
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: One red flip flop on the side of the trail near the falls 
  
Comments
Comments: A nice afternoon to check out the falls - easy walking and nice to get some time in the water. Looked at the ski trails and thought it would be fun to make a big loop -but just an out and back of the full Winniweta Trail to the junction with new ski trails.
