Trails were mostly dry.
I hadn't been to South Peak in a decade. The view has been cleared out and is much better now (ranging from Cardigan to Kearsarge and a bit south). That said, it appears the remains of the airplane on the summit have been removed (they used to be visible from the summit sign, but I couldn't find anything today, unless it was hidden in the grass).
Nice sunny afternoon weather following the morning rain. Folks out hiking on the Appalachian Trail, but nothing too crowded. |
