| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Hancock Overlook lot was about half full when I arrived around noon. It did thin out a bit by my return around 3:30PM. Lots of people visit this lot just long enough to take some pictures then head out, so it often has open spots freeing up throughout the day. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
All crossings are super low and easy. I kept the same socks and shoes on from my morning hike to OH. Bone dry at the end of the day. There is rain / thunderstorms forecasted for the area tomorrow. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
All in great shape. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Great hike for dogs but didn't see any here today. There are plenty of spots for water for hot dogs on a hot day. |
|
| Bugs: |
Some bugs mostly on the ridge. Enough of a breeze to keep them at bay. |

| Comments: |
After OHs I headed down the road to bag the Hancocks. I have done these two back to back many times now but this was the first time I did OH first, and while heading up the step approach to North I was reminded why doing the Hancocks first makes more sense. Thankful for a breeze here as it was getting hot and humid by this time. This section is seeing some erosion, and both North and South approaches have loose rock and gravel making footing a bit tricky.
Passed a few groups of people, maybe twenty in total. I thought I heard some voices in the vicinity of the slide too, but cannot be sure. |
