|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Hurricane Mtn trail is in dire need of some TLC. There are at least five major blowdowns on the Glencliff side. It also could use a good brushing in these areas. There is not a sign at the Glencliff / HMT jct showing HMT trail |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw many happy ones on Carriage road |
|
| Bugs: |
Not awful but they were around. I used bug juice occasionally just to keep them away. When moving they were not an issue |

| Comments: |
Hurricane Mtn trail, no sign, from the jct of Glencliff has many blowdowns and is almost like a bushwhack in some spots. Some washouts need new water bars. Above appx 2500 ft. the trail was OK. The bog bridges near the view point were in good shape. Glencliff and the Carriage road were fine. No issues. Dartmouth University is doing a research study in the alpine zone ( Carriage road and Gorge Brook ). They have it marked out with small orange flags and a sign explaining said study. |
