On Monday Oct 10th at 1pm after Dicey's Mill Trail crosses Wonalancet brook we encountered the bear reported on Sept. 17th by Ben and Denise Spoor. Our experience was almost identical. It followed us along the trail, we made loud noises to scare it away, and it was not frightened. The animal was still not using the injured right foot. We encountered nine people on the trail that day, none had seen the bear, but one group was familiar with the Sept 17 report. |
