Trails are in excellent shape. Fallsway and Brookside are nice alternatives to Valley Way, with pretty brook scenery and small cascades and waterfalls. The short climb up Lower Bruin to get back to Valley Way is steep, with some tricky scrambles. |

Hiked up to the Valley Way Tentsite and set up camp, then continued up to the summit of Madison, then back to the tentsite. It was a beautiful day and the views were excellent. It was VERY windy at the summit and on the climb up and down the Osgood Trail. |
