Parking/Access Road Notes: Appalachia parking lot had about five available spots when we arrived around 11:30.

Water Crossing Notes: All water crossings were easy today 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in excellent shape. Fallsway and Brookside are nice alternatives to Valley Way, with pretty brook scenery and small cascades and waterfalls. The short climb up Lower Bruin to get back to Valley Way is steep, with some tricky scrambles.

Dog-Related Notes: Didn't see any dogs on the trails today.

Bugs: Not particularly bothersome.

Comments
Comments: Hiked up to the Valley Way Tentsite and set up camp, then continued up to the summit of Madison, then back to the tentsite. It was a beautiful day and the views were excellent. It was VERY windy at the summit and on the climb up and down the Osgood Trail.
