Parking/Access Road Notes: The lot was nearly full 9:30 am on a Saturday.

Water Crossing Notes: No issues. Dry Brook is bridged 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in great condition, well marked with no blowdowns. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Brady enjoyed the water in the two brooks both within a mile of the trailhead, especially Dry Brook on the way back after a hot hike. Had a chance to play in the cool water with a couple of other pups. No water after the first mile so bring extra for your friend. 
Bugs
Bugs: Some mosquitos and gnats here and there but not too bad. There is significant gypsy moth damage among the hardwoods at lower elevations.

Comments: Great hike overall with outstanding 360 views at the top. Starts out mellow and gradual on soft dirt for the first 1.3 miles. After that, it's fairly steep and rough with sections of slab. Be careful in wet conditions
