The strong winds kept any bugs grounded, so no bugs, but only due to wind. |

There is extensive rerouting of the trail up South Moat, which made it kinda feel like a new hike. I had to convince two different parties to trust their own eyes and trail markers, and not their GPS. Wild weather made for an interesting hike. Saw a nice Pine Grosbeak and heard a Bicknell's Thrush. |
