Parking/Access Road Notes: No issues at Ammo Ravine lot.  
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All easily rock hoppable. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Blowdowns about 1/2 mile before Gem Pool and 1/2 mile after. Limbo unders. Folks are eroding herd paths around them.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: None seen. Plenty of water along the trail up to the hut.  
Bugs
Bugs: The tiny biting ones were active on trail! Gnats/no-see-ums? Black flies at the parking lot.  
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Saw a black and white Black Diamond headlamp strap on the way up before Gem Pool. Didn’t see it on the way out or I would have taken to the trail head.  
 
Comments
Comments: Trails in nice condition today. Mostly dry. Breezy and cold above tree-line, mid 30s with the windchill. That didn’t stop one dude from running up and down Monroe shirtless. :-)

People - pack your used toilet paper out! Disgusting. Leave. No. Trace.
