Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The water crossings at Drakes Brook are both hoppable but wet feet are a possibility. It's a long hike in wet socks, so bring an extra pair. Wish I did! :)
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trails are in great shape and easy to follow.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Brady was happy to meet a few well behaved dogs on the trail. There is very little water until you hit Drakes brook on the way down at about the 6 mile mark. Please bring extra for your pup or consider going up and down Drakes.
Bugs
Bugs: Not bad until the summit of Sandwich dome

Comments
Comments: Great hike overall with some excellent view points at Noon Peak, Jennings Peak and the Summit of Sandwich Dome. Saw just a few hikers all day. The first couple of miles up to Noon Peak is rugged and steep. After that, the trail becomes much more moderate. As other's suggest, do hike counter-clockwise going up Sandwich Mount Trail. You'll get your work done early and your legs will thank you as you hike down the pleasant Drakes Brook Trail.
