Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Streams on Israel were a bit higher than expected -but manageable. Could rock hop some, a few I just walked through and waded mid calf. One stream was flowing just a bit fast for one of our pups -a quick carry and she was fine.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Blowdowns consistently found on all trails -all manageable to negotiate. The first mile on Castle had the most. Israel Ridge has some large ones down.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Our two had a blast!
Bugs
Bugs: Mixed - at times really not great to other times nothing. Mostly black flies, but the mosquitos came out as well.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None

Comments
Comments: Trying to wrap up the entirety of The Link trail (so close!)went up Castle Trail to the Link, took the Link down to Castle Ravine and then out via Israel Ridge and Castle. Gorgeous day to be in Randolph -the beauty of these trails is really so wonderful. Emerald green mosses in such an amazing wilderness setting. Some folks don’t really like the Link too much -I say embrace the Link -it leads to some tremendously gorgeous and quiet wild places. We saw one person on the Castle Trail -that was it for the day. Be ready to wade a bit on the Israel Ridge River Crossings -water is a bit high (nothing extreme though).
