Lincoln Woods, Black Pond, Bushwhacking, Lincoln Woods, Owl’s Head, and reverse
The carne at the summit was only about 10 feet high. Would have missed it if not warned by half a dozen of fellow hikers (thank you!) The open section of the slide was the only spot for great view of Franconia Ridge and Pemi valley greenness. Bushwhacking trails were easy to follow. However it was probably too easy that we had off-tracked for half mile true bushwhacking. River crossings on bare feet felt cool like foot massaging. Heard from fellow hikers who had fun in 3-4 major bare foot river crossings as they went Lincoln Woods Trail all the way (not via Black Pond and Bushwhacking). |
