	Date of Hike:	Tuesday, June 7, 2022

	Parking/Access Road Notes:	Parked in hikers lot before Cardigan Lodge. 2 cars at 8:30 AM, full at 2 PM.

	Surface Conditions:	Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

	Recommended Equipment:

	Water Crossing Notes:	All were easy

	Trail Maintenance Notes:	Vistamont Tr could use some brushing about 1/2 way up to Orange Mt after stream crossing. All other trails in descent shape.

	Bugs:	Not too bad but there was a good constant breeze to keep them away even down below.

	Comments:	This is a nice serene hike up to Rimrock. I have never seen anybody on this part of the hike. At Rimrock I usually take the S. Ridge Tr to South Peak then continue to the Hurrican Gap Tr which leads to PJ's Ledge on the Clark Tr and back to the Lodge from there. This time at Rimrock I decided to continue on the Skyland Tr to the W. Ridge Tr. On the W.Ridge Tr is where I started seeing hikers. I found going to the summit of Mt Cardigan this way a little easier than going up to the summit via the Clark Tr. Coming down from Mt Cardigan via the Clark Tr was very interesting. Make sure the conditions are bone dry. I had a good breeze against me which kept me towards the slab. Someone might want to add this to the Terrifying 25. Reminded me of coming down the slab on North Percy. The views from Orange Mt were good and in the clear but by the time I got to Mt Cardigan the views were very hazy particularly North(pollen?). Overall this hike delivers a lot of bang for your buck.
