Comments
Comments: I liked approaching the Osceola's from the Kanc going up the steep East peak better than from Waterville Valley. The latter approach could be considered easier because the grade involves less cardio, the first mile plus of wet smooth two foot high rocks make it impossible to get a good pace going. The side going up East peak is very steep in the second half, and there was one tricky 40 foot wet rough textured rock face, but there are a few nice viewpoints and you can keep moving if in shape. I just wouldn't make it someone's first hike, as I saw some people doing in sneakers and under the age of 5 all wearing miserable faces. The chimney between peaks was dry and a blast to climb! Lots of folks out enjoying the day.
