 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Grassy parking on east side of Nash Stream Road at Pond Falls trailhead-room for several cars. Nash Stream road is in great shape and would be accessible by low-clearance vehicles with zero issues |

All were very easy. The difficult/dangerous one in the guidebook on Pond Falls is bridged, so no worries |

A million small/medium blowdowns and branches on Trio trail. All easy to step over-just slightly annoying when trail running |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
this would be a great dog hike. Tons of water and easy grades with good footing |

redline 3/3 last night. Was able to finish at 8:15 before the headlamp needed. Had a very pleasant 2 mile bike ride on Nash Stream Road and an easy ascent up Percy Loops to Trio Trail/Percy campsite. The campsite has one tent platform and a new bear box. I really enjoyed Trio Trail-it is a beautiful, easy woods walk. Had a few spots with restricted views up the valley of Sugarloaf where I had just been. I surprised a large white-tail deer drinking at a stream on trail and watched in bounce away-very cool. I see deer in my yard almost every day but have never seen one on trail in the Whites all these years. Tons of moose scat/prints on trail. Pond Falls is a very pleasant, short trail. The ledges on the river near the parking lot are a really beautiful spot worthy of a snack break! |
