Comments
Comments: redline 3/3 last night. Was able to finish at 8:15 before the headlamp needed. Had a very pleasant 2 mile bike ride on Nash Stream Road and an easy ascent up Percy Loops to Trio Trail/Percy campsite. The campsite has one tent platform and a new bear box. I really enjoyed Trio Trail-it is a beautiful, easy woods walk. Had a few spots with restricted views up the valley of Sugarloaf where I had just been. I surprised a large white-tail deer drinking at a stream on trail and watched in bounce away-very cool. I see deer in my yard almost every day but have never seen one on trail in the Whites all these years. Tons of moose scat/prints on trail. Pond Falls is a very pleasant, short trail. The ledges on the river near the parking lot are a really beautiful spot worthy of a snack break!
