Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I do not see any reason to take your dog into the hopyard. While relatively flat, the footing is as rough as you can get. Large, sometimes slick, jagged boulders for about a quarter mile at the end of this trail. I am sure experienced dogs could make it through, but I do not see the point in risking injury and having to worry about them
Bugs
Bugs: a few skeeters on trail and black flys at the car

Comments
Comments: redline hike 1/3 late yesterday afternoon. Was bummed for a moment that the gate was still closed but I had my bike with me for another hike on Nash Stream/Cohos so it was not that big of a pain. The bike ride is slightly up then down and just over a mile. Took about 5 minutes. Jogged to the hopyard along the beautiful pond and then thoroughly enjoyed the flat scramble through the hopyard- extremely neat/unique location.
