It appears that a snowshoe has not been on this trail all winter. Frozen boot/post holes the whole way. A few inches deep at the bottom, up to a foot or maybe a little deeper up top. I bare booted up to where the trail opens up some near the top, walking in the holes, then put on microspikes to get over some icy ledges, and wore them the whole way down. It was snowing hard and pretty windy at the top, but not doing much to fill in the holes. Going to need a good foot or so to fill them all in. |
