Parking off Kanc in lot for Albany covered bridge - cross bridge turn right and walk down road a hundred yards or so to the trailhead. For those who want to park a bit closer drive across the covered bridges and there is a trailhead on the other side. Fee tubes open at both parking areas. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Easy canine hike - saw several out today. |
|
 | Bugs: |
A few out down low but winds higher up kept them at bay today. Not sure what type they were but there were literally thousands on caterpillars out starting in the parking lot and all the way along the trail. |

 | Comments: |
An easy little loop took it clockwise to get the steepest sections on the ascent though nothing really that steep. Views from the upper ledge take in Chocorua and the sisters, Passaconway, the sleepers and the tripyramids. Lots of interesting (and large!) boulders on the lower parts of the loop. Most of the evidence of the 2016 is now gone. |
