Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the Basin at 7:45 am. Not a problem getting a spot and didn't seem overcrowded on return.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes: A few slick crossings on the Flume Slide Trail, but nothing too hard.

Trail Maintenance Notes: A few blow downs on both trails, but not many.

Dog-Related Notes: A few friendly dogs having fun.

Bugs: Nothing biting, a few buzzing. Really a good day.

Comments: I knew the Flume Slide Trail was a challenging one, but you never really know until you are on it. Take your time and you can make it, but it was dicey at times because the rocks were slick. It was humbling to see some of our fellow hikers zoom up them.
