Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, May 28, 2022
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Nice big lot near the Wild River Campground. Speaking of this campground, if you plan on staying there, bring whatever you use to treat water. No potable water right now.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: One small one at the beginning. We stopped at the Black Angel Trail Junction, so can't speak beyond that.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of good signs where needed to keep you on trail. Thanks. Many, many blow downs, evidence of a few being worked on (removed or notched). All in the wilderness area, where motorized tools are not permitted. Quite a project!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Should be good. Plenty of sip and dip opportunities.
Bugs
Bugs: A few ticks. Skeeters were bothering Prema.

Comments
Comments: A good way to spend a few hours when you think there may be rain. We have not done anything over in this area (other than Burnt Mill to the Royces and the Basin Trail to the ridge), so time to get started. Nice woodland walk, a few swaths of destruction from previous storms, some views down the river, a big snake... Lots to see.
