 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
If folks park efficiently it looks like the main lot holds 8-9 cars. As I didn’t see any No Parking signs on the short entrance road from Route 49 I assume that parking along that road is okay, holding another 10-12 cars. You should probably arrive early on a weekend. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The first crossing just south of the Sandwich Trail trailhead and parking area took a little finessing. Poles were helpful. All other water crossings were manageable, once again poles were helpful. We had low water today, assume higher levels and possibly wetter feet after a heavy rain.

The occasional blowdown, no crawl-unders. Yellow blazes could use an update. |

We hiked the recommended counter-clockwise route and were glad we did. A few stretches of trail on the initial ascent are poorly blazed along with several sections of the trail along Drakes Brook. We made a few wrong turns but always found our way back. Experienced hikers with good eyesight will be okay. |
