Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The first crossing was rock hoppable (barely). The second crossing some people were taking boots off but it was hoppable if one got slightly wet shoes.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots of Irene damage on the lower trail. The Sawyer River Road with the 20 foot drop and all the exposed rock is hard to imagine. Despite the water damage the trail is in surprisingly good shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw several today....some trail water for dogs on the climb.

Comments
Comments: Had hoped to do one of my favorite cross country routes up to Glen Boulder, over Isolation and Davis, and down the Davis Path to the Stairs but Rocket21 told me Jericho road is closed part way in. The weather would have been perfect. However so was Carrigain. Actually seeing the damage on the road is worth the extra 4 miles. Great Views today. Congrats to Becca Monroe on 576 and congrats to Barbara who hiked with me today on 30/48.
