 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
As pointed out by thegingerhiker Saturday, Zealand Rd. is full of potholes. The (small) Hale Brook Trailhead lot was nearly full at 10:30am, but the (large) Zealand Trailhead lot had plenty of spaces. |

 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
All rock-hoppable. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Very many blowdowns on Lend-A-Hand Trail, especially near the top. Most were easy to go over or under, but one or two of them were quite annoying. Also, there is a broken branch pointing down to head level in the middle of Lend-A-Hand Trail; one of us wearing a wide-brim hat did not see it above and hit his head. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
 | Bugs: |
Black flies were not biting (maybe because many of us were using bug spray and permethrin-treated clothing). But there were mosquitos along Zealand Trail, and they were swarming especially at 7:15pm when we ended our hike at the Zealand Trailhead lot. |

 | Comments: |
No snow or ice anywhere (well, one tiny patch not worth mentioning near the top of Lend-A-Hand Trail - it was so small that there was no need to step on it). |
