Comments
Comments: Castle trail was navigable but had many obstacles. The castles were a bit slippery, the talus field leading to Jefferson was wet and slow going in the morning fog. Over the snow field on Gulfside was slushy snow, recommend spikes though several people bare booted it. Lots of slick rock beyond that, kept my spring spikes on for a bit. Gulfside was dry after that to Lowes, and the talus up to Adams was dry. Lowes path down was wet and muddy, making a slow desent. My normal pace is about 2 mph but this loop had me at about 1.5 mph. Great but very long day.
